Is Dick Bond the real force behind all of this?
![]()
Craig Denny is the President of the Shawnee Mission School Board. Denny also contributed to Shane Jones' State Senate Committe at the "front door" address, 7932 Sante Fe.

Larry Winn III is now a member of the Shawnee Mission School Board and has contributed to Taff for Congress, Sebelius for Governor, and State Senators Adkins, Allen and Vratil. Larry Winn received $10,000 from the Greater Kansas City Chamber for his Committee for Excellence, which, complemented the $20,000 shown below.

Adam Taff, and former Congress Woman Myers, were on board with JCRE and Steve Cloud months before the election in August 2002.

Bob Regnier, Bank of Blue Valley, has his fingerprints all over political money in Johnson County. He is or has been the treasurer for several candidates: Sue Gamble for State Board of Ed, and Senator Vratil. He's contributed to Senators Adkins and Vratil, and to the Blue Valley First Committee, as a former BV Board of Ed member.

Over half of Steve Cloud's JCRE money in this reporting period came from this Missouri group trying to influence Kansas elections. This HUGE contribution hasn't even deserved mention by the local press.

Hiersteiner, an octogenarian, has worked for Tension Envelope Company since 1947. He is past president of the Shawnee Mission School District Board of Education and a past chairman of the Kansas Board of Regents. While a a registered Republican, he supports liberal causes and candidates, including the Mainstream Coalition and Jill Docking. He recently contributed to State Senators Allen and Vratil, State Rep Yonally and Biggs for Attorney General.
Notable Expenditures

Is Shane Jones trying to pad his pockets with all this political money from "admin fees" using this mystery company at the same address as the PAC itself? Even the Blue Valley First Committee used the Hyperion Group.

So why doesn't the press report this conflict of interest? 1729 Grand Blvd, KCMO, is the address of The Kansas City Star. $28,873 to the KC Star's "Star Direct" service, and $1,000 to the Sun isn't exactly pocket change.
